First Grade

Laura has been in school for a month now and she is loving it. She gets excited when she has homework and starts on it the minute we walk in the door after school.

She is in a sweet class with several of her friends from Kindergarten. And she has the best teacher ever-I am so grateful for Mrs. Mote. We've already had our parent teacher conferences and Mrs. Mote had Laura totally pegged. Laura is a pleaser, (yes!), reliable (yes!) and needs affirmation (yes! yes!). She is just like her daddy! ha!

I was hoping to see Laura in plaid again this year! First grade...wow! Will likes to tackle his homework immediately after school, too, though it's because it's the only way he gets to play his video game, not because he just loves to do it! Ha! Happy School Year!

Oh...I got the cute UT clothes and hairbow you sent Julia! So cute! Michael said he remembered seeing Laura in the little cheerleader getup. Can't wait to try them on her. Thanks, Sara!

I, too, was looking forward to seeing the plaid outfit for the first day of school. I am so happy that Laura got a teacher who is so in tune to her needs and abilities. That really is a blessing. I hope she has a fabulous year!

Isn't it amazing when other people seem to understand our children so well?! Wonderful that her teacher is in tune with her. She looks more and more grown up everytime I see her.
