Slumber Party

Laura had been asking for an entire year if she could plllllllleeeeeaaaaassssseeeeee have a slumber party for her 7th birthday. So---I gave in. She asked 4 of her friends and 3 were able to come which made it pretty easy. Grant was actually in St. Louis with the grandparents, so I didn't even have to worry about him following Laura and her friends around!!

Laura decided on a "Pink Poodle in Paris" theme and I made her a sleepover cake.

At the party, we made pillow cases, ate cake, opened presents, watched movies, enjoyed sparklers and finally went to bed (although it was 1 a.m. before all fell asleep!!) I still can't believe they stayed up that late.

It was a lot of fun and Laura loves being "7" now!

How fun! Sleepovers can be so much fun especially if you keep the number of kids sleeping over to small, manageable number. Taylor has done sleepovers before but this year had 6 girls spend the night...at 11 yrs old it wasn't bad as they camped out in Taylor's room and entertained themselves :) Caleb had his 1st one this year...only 3 boys spent the night and it was great! Getting rid of siblings is the key! BTW, cute theme :)
