Arrived & 3 Months

After two days of traveling at the speed of 55 mph, we arrived in Searcy on Sunday night at 9:30 p.m. Jim's blog has the details if you interested. It was a whirlwind chaotic move, but we are now in our new home in Searcy. For not seeing it with my own eyes before we bought it, I like it. It does need some cosmetic changes like painting, removing wallpaper and replacing knobs and fixtures. But, that will come over time. Right now, we are working on making it livable. (This picture was taken back in the spring.)

Grant turned three months yesterday. He is now smiling tons, cooing, and laughing. He probably weighs around 15 lbs. He is NOT sleeping thru the night, so I'm so looking forward to him reaching that milestone by maybe 4 months!!

Laura is doing pretty good with the adjustment. She has made a few comments on how she misses Mackenzie and others or she wants to go back home. But, overall, she is being a trooper. We will be adjusting for awhile. I can't even read my Knoxville friends blogs without tearing up.

I'll post pictures of our new house once it looks presentable.

Sara, I have thought about you continuously over the past week and prayed for you guys often. I'm so glad the hardest part is over. Now you get to enjoy putting down new roots in Searcy. Your home is lovely. And my goodness! I think Grant has grown larger since I saw him at the park! What a big boy! We really enjoyed Carter at 3 months. It seems like he all of a sudden started coming out with his little personality. Keep the pictures coming. Reading your blog makes me feel like your not too far away.

I am so glad that you guys made it safely and are getting settled. I love the house!

It is so hard to believe that Grant is already 3 months! He is adorable. We get to see Dave and Amy this weekend so that will be fun.

Wow! Grant looks huge! I love the fat little legs in that picture. Your house looks great! JW was so glad he got to help you guys a little bit on Sat. I know you are glad that part is now over. I guess our crazy part is just beginning. My parents are coming to help a little bit next week. I am hoping my Mom will be the incentive I need to get my ball rolling. I have slacked off the packing this week. Take Care!

I think the outside of the house is fantastic. We could have a lot more space if we lived in Searcy! Riley just turned one and only occasionally sleeps all night. Don't give up though!

We've been thinking about you guys! I know transition is hard especially with two little one is tow!

Love the house! So pretty! Where in Searcy is it??? Grant looks so much like Laura in that picture, I think. I'm sure the adjustment is difficult...I do know. I will be praying for your transition. And hopefully we will be able to see you guys when we are in Searcy.

Okay. Can I just say I am WAAYYY impressed that you actually remembered and snapped a "3 month" picture of Grant right smack in the middle of a huge move! I'm not sure I would have remembered that, if I were in similar circumstances. He is too cute, and the house really is lovely. I can't wait to see more pics of the inside once you are more settled. I'm sure you got my email...Mackenzie is most certainly missing Laura, too. :(

Your new house is so cute! I really like it...good curb appeal. You guys are so brave, but I can see why with a house that adorable.

I know you're glad to have the travels over with and ready to get settled in. Ready to start making it home.

So glad to keep up with your blog...that's all I'll say for now!

I'm so glad you all made it safe and sound. I'm sure it was a long, exhausting trip. Your house looks really cute and Grant looks so big. We're coming to Searcy on the 28th and will be there through July 3. Will you be around then? Email me and let me know. I'm still praying for and and your sweet family as you continue this transition. Love you! Oh...and I was flipping through the cannels the other day and stumbled upon Anne of Green Gables and smiled as I thought of you!

Well you know I am glad you are here! We enjoyed having Laura the other day. Anna and Laura played so well together. Anytime you need me to take her and him for that matter just call. Or we can come over and the girls can play - hum while we take down wall paper! ha ha

So glad to read your post. Your house looks very familiar to me. I hope the transition goes smoothly for you all. Grant is getting so big!

The new house looks beautiful from the outside! I love the HU swing, wish I could get my hands on one and get it up here :) And Grant really does look big all of the sudden. I hope things continue to go well with the unpacking. Tell Laura that Madison is missing her. She asked if we could go see Laura and "her baby boy" :)
