Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday after two days of being homebound with a sick family, we needed some fresh air. So we headed off to the pumpkin patch in the big town of Cabot. Laura talked or sang the entire way there while Grant played with a toy not making a peep. Jim and I were talking wishfully about a possible vacation this summer without kids.

The hayride was through the pumpkin patch which was really quite neat to see all the different types, colors, and shapes of pumpkins growing. The only drawback we sat right behind the tractor and got to inhale fumes the entire ride.

They had some neat "photo op" spots which we took advantage of. Laura was especially in the mood to do some poses. We went through a few corn mazes, played in the sunflowers and picked out our two pumpkins all for the low price of $15. On our way home, we stopped at Sonic (our favorite place) for happy hour drinks and headed home. It was a fun day by all.

It sounds like a really fun time and looks like you had great weather too. I especially love the picture of Laura with the sunflower. Grant's little head poking out of the painted flower is hilarious too.

What adorable pics! Glad you made it back safely from Houston! We got to see Dave and Amy when they came through town a couple of weeks ago and we really enjoyed catching up with them. We were talking about everyone in our old Bible Study and wondering how everyone is doing. Do you ever talk to Rich and Kara? I occasionally e-mail Kara. The Parks said they talk to them about once a year. hope you guys are doing great! Your kids are precious!

I'm not sure which picture I like the very best as you got soo many GREAT ones! I love it! Pumpkin patches make for some great photo ops, don't they?! I'm glad you all had fun.

No, I don't think we are going to make Homecoming. Troy officiates high school football games on Friday nights and college games on Saturdays so it always make it pretty difficult to get to Harding's Homecoming. I really would like to go next year though.
