Dr. Visit/Coughs & Runny Noses

UPDATE: The appt with the Perinatal Doctor went fine. The heart is normal and no arrythmia was detected at the appointment. It was a little nerve-wracking because the sonographer of course said nothing throughout the entire ultra-sound. We had to wait for the Dr. to come in and verify the pictures. They did a full ultrasound and all parts/organs are normal. The baby is weighing 6 lb 3 oz! When Laura was born, she weighed 6 lb 4 oz, so this is gonna be a big one! The Dr. did advise me to give up caffeine and chocolate. I don't drink much caffeine, but I do like chocolate.

We are all feeling better and our colds are just about gone. Yay!

Thanks for your prayers.

Our house has been hit by the cold bug. Well, Laura is doing great, but Jim and I are using up tissues pretty quickly. I always brag to Jim who gets atleast 3 or 4 colds a year that I never catch a cold. But, it happened. Thankfully, Laura has rolled with it and has been happy to be entertained at home and even took a nap one day!

My OB appt. was today. I am still measuring in the 77% percentile, so this baby will be bigger than Laura who was a peanut. The doctor was a little concerned about the baby's heartbeat, so she hooked me up to the baby heart monitor. It appears that the baby displayed some heart arrythmia. My doctor reassured me not to be alarmed and that it is probably nothing, but did send me on to a Perinatal specialist who will do more detailed ultrasound on Monday. Jim and I aren't overly concerned, but obviously want a healthy baby. So, prayers are welcomed from you on Monday.

Prayers will come your way on Monday. Praying for you and baby will keep my mind off what's going on with me! Hope you and Jim are feeling better. It's awful when both parents aren't 100% and there's a little one who still needs attention. I'm glad Laura was content to stay at home. Get some rest this weekend.

We will be praying that everything goes smoothly on Monday and this turns out to be nothing. Hope everyone gets to felling better and that Laura doesn't get "it".

I hate to hear that your are having a rough time! Scott and I both had the flu a week ago and Anna was also content to be at home with us. However, last night she woke up with 103 fever. We can't get into a doctor today so we are roughing it at home!

It is no fun to be sick or worried about your child (Baby to be born.) We are praying for a healthy baby!

I am so glad that your doctor's appt. went well. I remember having scary checkups with Easton so I know exactly what you are going through. We will keep you guys in our prayers as you recover from your colds and as you are expecting your new little blessing. We are in a small group at church but it is nothing like the one that we had in Searcy. We miss you guys! Keep in touch! Troy and Shana

Yippe!! A healthy baby....sorry about the runny noses and colds. I've turned into the lysol police here at our house, before and after small groups!
You better start lifting some hand weights so that you will be able to pick up this new little (or big) Miller when it arrives!! :)

So glad you got a good report!

Yea! A good report is the best thing EVER. Okay, I predict boy. I'm sure that is all you have heard since announcing the weight. Boys are supposed to be big. Good thing it's a c-section!
