A Good Week
This week has been marked by some big milestones!
On Thursday, Jim and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. As part of our celebration, we all headed to the Tennessee Smokies minor league game. The weather was awesome and the sunset was even better against the backdrop of the mountains. Laura enjoyed a hotdog and ice cream, two of her favorite food items. Jim, the baseball fanatic, insisted we stay for ALL 9 innings so Laura could run the bases at the end of the game. (I think it was more for him, than Laura, but they had fun.) We are going out to the Melting Pot next week as our tradition to celebrate anniversaries. Meme and Don-Don will be arriving today, so we have free babysitters.
Lastly, Laura has mastered the potty! We are sooo proud of her! I used a sticker chart this time and when the daily squares were filled, she got to pick a "potty prize" from the basket. It was a hit! She is only using diapers for naps and night time. I'm glad we took a sabbatical from our first attempt and just gave her time to decide when she was ready.
Meme and Don Don will be here in a few hours and we are looking forward to a week of fun with them. Laura will turn 3 on Sunday and so Grandpa and Grandpa Miller will be arriving next weekend. We've got another great week ahead of us with lots of memories to enjoy.
