Go away, Ike! (Update)

UPDATE:
My parents lost several tops of their trees resulting in 5 holes in their roof. With the help of some neighbors and drive by entrepreneurs, the tree has been removed and the roof is patched. They will get a new roof, but that could take weeks.

My brother drove down from from Austin to help them with the clean up. Since it could be 2 or more weeks until there is power, my brother was lucky enough to find a generator in Austin. He literally bought it off the truck at Lowe's. Atleast now they can run a fan, the fridge, and a t.v.

It was a scary experience for them and we are all glad it is over with minimal structural damage.

Thanks for the prayers lifted on their behalf and others.

Since my parents, grandpa and aunt live 75 miles north of Galveston, Texas, they are in preparation right now for Hurricane Ike.

I'm worried as they are.

The winds are estimated to be 100 mph. Since their home is surrounded by lots of trees the main concern is down trees. Loss of electricity is gonna happen.

Please pray for all of those in harms way.
