Easter Time

I finally got my pictures off the camera to upload to the computer! I didn't want to forget about Easter, so better late than never.

We had a really great Easter day. Started the day off with a quick egg hunt at home and then off to church. The Watson's (Zearl and Betty) were so wonderful to invite us over for lunch with another family and to take place in an egg hunt. There was soooo much yummy food to enjoy and the egg hunt was over the top. Seems like there were over 90 eggs to hunt for 4 kids!

Easter Fun

Finally I have time to post our Easter pictures. Chasing Grant around all day and keeping him out of mischief (mainly the toilets) certainly has put a damper on my computer time!

Our church had an outdoor egg hunt and picnic. It was a beautiful day. Laura thoroughly enjoyed hunting for eggs while Grant was entertained with finding sticks.
Later that afternoon, Laura and I made a bunny cake for the first time. I hope to continue this tradition each year. I think it turned out pretty cute!It was raining on Easter Sunday so after church we did our family egg hunt inside. Grant was snoozing already, but enjoyed his basket when he woke up from his nap. Me & my girl!Laura took this picture of me and Jim! I forgot to bring my camera to church to get a family picture.Grant is awake and looking thru his basket!
This is the best picture I got of the kids. As you can tell from the last picture, we were pretty much done trying to get a good shot!Link

Easter Sunday

Life at the Miller house is no longer the same. The addition of Grant has been wonderful and we are enjoying getting to know our boy! He is doing what newborns do...eat, sleep, poop, and cry. We are of course adjusting to all of that!

Laura has been the best big sister. She is very helpful and right now she is getting some good entertaining from Meme and Don-Don. They took her to see "Horton Hears a Who" and to the mall on Friday. Yesterday, she went to McDonald's to enjoy a Happy Meal and ice cream.

We had a good Easter filled with a yummy ham lunch, baskets, and an egg hunt. Laura loved all of it and Grant was along for the ride.

Other big news that happened this week was that we do have a contract on our house. We finalized that on Saturday with the realtor. We are scheduled to close at the end of April and we will rent from the buyers till June 15th. Of course this is all pending inspection which will take place in a couple of weeks.

As you can see our plates are filled with a newborn, house, transitions, adjustments for all of us. We welcome your prayers!!

Enjoy the pics.

Fun Family Weekend

Since this was our last weekend as a family of three, we wanted to share some special memories.

On Saturday, we were blessed with a little bit of snow...well, just a trace, but it is alway fun to watch it fall. In the afternoon, we went to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Laura was excited to go but a bit hesitant at first to enjoy it. Hence, her reaction to the first clown she saw...
Once the show got started, however, she was glued. She enjoyed her snow cone in a clown cup. (It cost $8, but it was worth it!) Her favorite parts were the elephants, tigers and gymnastics. It was all entertaining, but the day wore her out!
Today our church had its annual Easter lunch and egg hunt. Laura had a blast hunting for eggs — and even more fun hanging out with her best little friend Mackenzie. These girls are attached at the hip.
We had some good family time this weekend, and I'm very thankful for it. I love my girl, Laura, and I treasure these times with her before baby arrives next Monday!!!

Easter Photos

We had a fun Easter weekend full of eating, hunting for eggs, and decorating eggs! Despite the freezing weather and wilted flowers, we had a great time together.
