Impressed

Take note..I'm impressed by an event we went to in Searcy on Sunday night. Yes, right here in my home town, I have finally been impressed.

The First Assembly of God puts on a Live Nativity (check out the link) where you actually drive your car through Bethlehem. It is soooooo cool! While we waited in our warm car to proceed through, we ate a pizza and watched some Christmas movie clips they had projected on big screens. We were then given hot chocolate and CD to listen to as we drove through Bethlehem. There were real animals (horses, camels, sheep). It was awesome. Laura was sitting on my lap and the wonder and excitement in her eyes was priceless.

What a great find! I can't wait to take the kids to "A Walk Through Bethlehem" at a downtown Knoxville church this Sunday...it's supposed to be pretty authentic, too. Glad you found it and glad you had a great time!

Our church here in Port Orchard does a similar event. We've never been able to see it or participate though because we're always in Oklahoma or Texas when they do it! Glad you enjoyed that.

It really is cool. Wait until you see the lines waiting to see everything as Christmas gets closer. Glad you went early. A-C always can't wait each year to "see the soldiers!" Last year we went twice! It really has become a wonderful event; I hope it reaches people that otherwise wouldn't give Jesus a thought... what a wonderful group of people to do such work to pull together this production...

Yes, it is very neat! We go every year and Anna loves it each time and it has opened a lot of questions about Bible times.
