Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained

Jim took me to eat sushi last night.

It was our monthly date night, and I was looking forward to a new dining experience. He had recently eaten sushi with his sister at Wasabi and just raved about the taste.

So, I was ready to give it a try.

It was disgusting. It tasted like cold fish wrapped in seaweed. Needless to say, I had to order something else - which was cooked and hot.

Have you tried sushi? Do you like it?

I first tried sushi in Japan. The only kind I like is the California Roll. Wasabi's California Rolls are pretty good, but I do still prefer the hot and cooked version of foods myself! I'm glad you guys had a fun date night, Sara! Wasabi's is a fun place. We should still plan to go their sometime. Maybe my parents can keep all three kids!

I LOVE it! There is a place in Fort Worth called Pirahanas that Matthew and I like to eat at. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it...maybe you ordered the wrong things. Did you try any rolls? There are usually a safe choice. Way to go on the monthly date night too!

Sorry you did't like it! It takes a few times to find the rolls that you like. Hibachi's are also delicious and fully cooked! Next time I drive through we'll have to try somewhere else! Maybe thai food!

I tried it for the first time a few months ago and loved it. I went with some "seasoned veterans" to Igiban in West Little Rock and just had them order for me. I vowed to try anything and everything, and did. Tuna, yellow tail, salmon, crab, etc... Loved it all. I especially loved how I didn't feel stuffed at the end of the meal.

Sorry your experience wasn't so great. I've heard people either love it or hate it!

I'm with you! I've tried it on a couple of different occasions and I'm just not a fan. Way to go on date night! With baseball going on, I'm lucky right now just to see Chad before I go to bed!
